A Delhi court sentenced a Pakistani national to six years rigorous imprisonment on Friday for opening fire at the police and army personnel in an encounter during search operation in Jammu and Kashmir in 2004.
The petition was filed by JNU professors Ameet Parameswaran, Atul Sood and Shukla Vinayak Sawant seeking necessary directions to the Delhi Police Commissioner and Delhi government.
Justice Dinesh Kumar Sharma said the parties shall file brief written submissions not exceeding five pages.
